Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

Before leaving at "0-dark-30" this morning for the Riverside County Office of Education in Murrieta to work together with 40+ high school educators, the sky looked like this . . . the pause to look at this sunrise was worthwhile!

The morning with all the educators was productive, meaningful, and valuable. This was the final session and we worked in teams creating a teaching module -- each team had selected an article to use, built a writing prompt for that article, and then designed the pre-reading activities that would assist students in reading and understanding the author's message so the students can analyze the message and explain the author's argument and analysis of the topic.

I arrived home with very little grading to do, but plenty of prepping to be ready for next week's classes.

In the evening we attended a choir presentation at a senior citizen residential retirement center where several friends we've known for years are living. This center is brand new and it's gorgeous. The grandmas and grandpas thoroughly enjoyed singing for their friends, family, and the other residents of the facility.

That's it for now. Good night from Southern California.
