Sunrise

Not enough sleep last night which was a bit of a surprise. I thought I'd snooze well but you can't always tell. By way of compensation I saw the beginnings of a beautiful sunrise at about 06:30. I'm off to Edinburgh soon but I think the wind's against a walk in the hills so I'm planning to come straight home and get into the garden for leaf sweeping duties.

The younger and youngest generation houseguests have gone home after their six weeks here. The house feels empty and we're missing their company.
