Port Beag
Port Beag in Oban is supposed to be the original Little Bay - today half of it is the dock where the lifeboat is moored. The other half is an old boatyard - this land is reckoned to have been given to the fishermen of Oban at some time - there are various old huts and a lot of boats piled up there. I'm finding it difficult to find out much about it.
I think it would be a shame if one of the last little bits of the Oban waterfront disappeared under some new development. I will ask the council.
