Mating Calls of the Chamois

These two males were not wasting any energy fighting without an audience today. They were simply sniffing the air (see extra) and calling for the females which were staying well out of sight as was I. My ancient white fleece worked a treat today in the fresh snow! The single male in extras, walked right above me.

Tomorrow I won't be able to get up high again, lots of snow and high winds forecast for the next two days. Just as well I am going to the Lake District on Monday.
