A date with many meanings, Remembrance Day in the UK and the Commonwealth and Veteran's Day in the USA, St Martin in many parts of Europe, and the 11th of the 11th in Noord-Brabant and Limburg, the start of carnival happenings.

I captured a lantern with light for the first two meanings. A candle lit for all those who died in wars. We should never forget the sacrifices of so many men and women.
And at St Martin there are many places in Europe where children will hold lantern parades.
