Lest we forget

The commemoration for Armistice day is a civic ceremony followed by a 'pot de l'amitié (canapés and drinks) offered by the Mairie.  The children read a poem and the Maire made the usual speech honouring the fallen. I thanked him for his support at the council meeting for the bell installation project.  The support of the Maire is vital in all village affairs.  I then went down to square to have coffee with friends.  The rest of the day will be gardening, walking and rugby.
