The wrong bike

I enjoyed a wonderful day out today with friends to Symonds Yat, a scenic spot on the River Wye, near Ross on Wye. A decently long walk along the river bank tracks, followed by a tasty lunch...perfect.
But 6 year old Beau insisted on bringing his favourite little bike, he calls his 'fire bike!' which is rocket red and "goes faster", as his hand me down little mountain bike, from his big sister Ella, is pink and "everyone will laugh at me".
He quickly found his bike had the wrong kind of tyres for the tracks and it was a little small for him now, so he had many stops to huff and puff about it.... To no avail!
