On the edge of the water

Once again I believed the BBC weather report that said the east of Scotland was going to be pretty clear all day and so I headed up the A9 with the intention of photographing a fairly small lesser known loch. However, the gods were obviously against me as the weather started getting worse the further north I drove and there were even a few drops of rain. When I eventually got to the road marked on Google Maps that led to the interesting views from the loch I found it was closed and was now owned by Scottish Water.

I decided to let my Sat Nav find some Points of Interest in a southerly direction and it pointed me toward Loch Awe - I didn't know exactly where it was other than it 44 miles away. Some 90 minutes later I finally arrived at the top of the Loch which is on the way to Oban, the totally opposite side of the country and the bit that was going to have rubbish weather (again according to the BBC). As you can see, it wasn't too bad and there were some interesting clouds that were reflected in the clear loch waters.

This will also be my weekly Blip Challenge image for this week with the theme of EDGE as I was sat on the edge of the Loch for an hour or so waiting for the light to be just right.
