Job Well Done
We have electricity! Three men arrived from Lisbon about nine this morning and worked all day, apart from the obligatory long lunch break - we took them to Sr Zé's and treated them - it's the thing to do here, we've learned. You never talk business while eating, so it's always very social and you get to know them a bit. The guy next to Mike has made a load of wine this year from vines on some land he has outside Lisbon... interesting.
We tried out the electricity for a bit, but came back to the flat - too cold - need to get that stove... and a pump for the borehole... and, and, and... but hey, it's another step on the way. As well as the six solar panels, we have four batteries and an inverter inside the chimney, on top of the floor Mike built in there.
Some trauma today as youngest daughter has found out she has "Polycystic Ovary Syndrome", not great, but not as bad as it could be... just makes me wish I could be closer...
