Strawberry Pompom

Not really a flower but a fruit - a strawberry no less for the Arbutus or strawberry tree is now flowering and fruiting.The fruit looks very attractive but doesn't taste of much but I think the birds might have a nibble. Found only in Cork and Kerry and though to have come up from the Mediterranean, it's an evergreen and starting to look good around now.
