Mermaid

Last March a guide friend in Oaxaca took us and another couple to visit the workshops of three outstanding  clay artists in the town of Atzompa. One of our purchases was this lovely mermaid, lazing away her day perched on a sea star. They carefully wrapped her in foam and paper to protect her until this year when we would move into our new apt. 

She now has a home on a freshly painted soft yellow wall, on a nail that was conveniently already in the perfect location.
