My Local!
Having not lifted my camera all day I decided to see what the village had to offer after putting the hens to bed. I just have to mention how beautiful Izzy is looking now - after most of the summer spent broody in the coop then a moult she has been looking quite pathetic. But now Autumn is well under way and the broodiness and moult over she is the picture of health! I may blip her soon!
So this is my local! It is looking the best it ever has since I moved here 18 years ago! Freshly painted, new signs, pretty lights, and finally the front window repaired where it had been covered in hard board all summer. I would have taken a full photo but there was a car parked to the right and I didn't like it there! I used to go there fairly frequently when my peer group was in it's heyday and we knew the landlord. Over the years it has had quite a few owners and it's popularity has ebbed and flowed as has it's customers. I still recognise the bar flies when I do go in, but that is now very infrequent and mostly in the summer, when we tend to sit outside on the green with our drinks. I like the idea of a local, but am happy sitting at home with friends and a drink!
