Accounting for every kwacha

About this point in each visit we have an accounts meeting with Harisen (left) and Casca, to examine the books.
Mary has been working mainly with Casca over the past years in an effort to streamline our procedures and practices in keeping accounts.
Mary's thumbs was just that, everything was to the kwacha, balanced and perfect. She is a stickler for precision and explanation.
Most times here invoices are tiny handwritten documents, very easy to lose or mislay, but all were present and correct, everything matched and balanced.
Explanations of what project the money went to and signed receipts for everything. It seems so tedious but the system is working brilliantly, which makes life so easy.
We started early and finished well ahead of schedule.
Next for the Accountant and then the Auditor.
