Prick of Conscience

Down to see P in York for a couple of days. Had a pleasant walk around the city walls and dropped into a couple of the medieval churches along the way.

I had particularly wanted to see this window which is based on a 13th Century poem, the Prick of Conscience. North Street Church was empty and the theme of the end of the world is beautifully narrated in 15 panels of the stained glass window. Felt privileged to have this all to myself. It has a remarkably modern design for a window fitted in 1410.

Thai food with A, P and G and early night as we were all knackered.
