The Launch of the Queen's Park Arena, Glasgow

Last Saturday, I blipped the area, still under construction. I returned today to within yards of the same spot, to enjoy some of the first performances on stage. The bright red wheelie bins did distract just a little.

I chatted to some of the group who have been involved in making this happen. They were so glad the sun shone, and lots of people were coming along to see what was happening. A good community feel.

It can seat approx. 800 on the terracing. One of their plans is to have a big screen for film shows, you would need to bring a cushion though! The main issue will be the weather. Looking forward to more entertainment here very soon.
