In the yellow corner

Interesting chat with Ella aged 5 and Nathaniel (3) yesterday.

Ella - “Why did Auntie Vicky die?”
Me - “she got very sick”
Ella -“ I was very sick in the toilet but I didn’t die. What happens to dead people next?”

While I was trying to work out how to answer, Nathaniel pipes up - “Maybe the hospital keeps them.”
Ella - “did the hospital keep Auntie Vicky’s wheelchair?”

I am cooking again for four guests coming over tonight. An easy meal -
Mackerel pate
Spinach, Quark, hardboiled egg and pine nut pie
Greek yogurt with grated white chocolate in it, plus a good dash of Cointreau.

The roses in the Blip arrived from a good friend for my birthday which is on Saturday when I have 18 to lunch including 8 children aged 3-13. Wish me luck! I have already planned the treasure hunt in the woods and I have decided that the dads and grandads will supervise.
