Rip it up and start again
When we moved into our current house 20 years ago, the one bathroom was already due a refresh. Fortunately, even though it had been put in during the seventies, it wasn't avocado, or any of the other hideous colours that decade delighted in. It was a plain white, but was looking pretty tired.
But we already had 3 children under 5, with a 4th arriving a little over a year later, so we had no choice other than living with it. And we kept living with it. For two decades. We had a list of things to do and it never quite made it to the top - until now.
Finally we are getting it replaced, and today's Blip shows the result of day one, with everything stripped out to start from fresh.
I hate getting building work done, so this will probably be a very long couple of weeks, but I'm sure it will be worth it.
