Blue pool

I suppose technically it's a puddle, for it's sometimes not there and there was a great deal of rain yesterday. I was passing down the side of the giant redwood avenue in Benmore Gardens this morning when the bright blue of an unexpected reflection caught my eye, and it's today's blip for the simple reason that it was such a joyous contrast to the gloom of yesterday afternoon, when my photos showed only my desperation to find some light. 

I'm adding an extra photo of the gardens - one I've not taken before because it doesn't look nearly as inviting in the afternoon, when I'm usually there. The midday sun lights this path most invitingly ...
