Covered Pathway

We live on the same estate we started our married life in 1987.  The estate was new build at that time and the council planners had made a lot of emphasis to retain the existing footpaths and lanes that crossed the former farmland.  

Now, 30 years on, these paths have matured and become great arteries for walking, away from the traffic that uses the roads.  In many places the trees have grown over and knitted together to form archways of green.

I'm still experimenting with the Pep Ventosa technique but wanted to try some of the ideas I'd formed around street scenes in Birmingham last week to a more organic view.  I'm glad I got out early, it absolutely tipped it down from mid morning.
