An early bird boy was up to forage for presents at an ungodly hour; having ripped of paper with gusto and smiled at what was revealed, he spent a happy hour playing with the new toys and gadgets.

Off out he went to see his mum and they had brunch down the road before coming back at lunchtime. We boarded a bus and headed to hers; a new football and some sweets were greeted with more smiles and off we trailed to Gravity at Fountain Park for trampolining and climbing. 

A couple of sweaty hours later, they were all smiling and off we went to hers; for Chinese and more cake. 

We got a bus home and a tired but bathed boy slid into bed, telling how much he'd' loved the day.
