Panning practice
I was walking round to the local veg stall when I became aware of several light aircraft circling and after watching them for a few minutes discovered they were heading for the local gliding club. I quickly got my veg and hurried home to collect my camera and hubby. We hot footed it across the fields towards the gliding club landing strip, constantly stopping while I tried to take some photos of the incoming planes. I have decided that my panning skills are rubbish and need working on, as from around 25 - 30 shots of small planes approaching a landing strip I managed around 4 or 5 actually completely in the frame. This is not the most exciting subject but it is really all I got today and it makes a change from flowers and birds for me. I'm still not sure why all the planes were landing, they seemed to be parking up and the pilots heading for the clubhouse, I can only assume that, as it was lunch time, they were attending an organised lunch.
