Amazon Creek Great Blue Heron

Today was an unexpectedly beautiful day with a sky full of rough and tumble clouds and lots of sunshine to go with them.
Perfect for a short bike ride along one of my favorite routes to the Fern Ridge Wetlands.
I enjoyed watching this Great Blue Heron successfully pick a tid-bitty fish out of the rushing water.
The green sprouts of newly planted field with the blue sky backdrop enticed me off my bike and over a fence to grab the photo in the extra.
