This morning we had a lively Discussion Group Meeting. “Are we undergoing another Peasants’ Revolt?” ( with reference to the Brexit vote and Trump). The consensus was the only revolt would come from the 1% super rich when anything was done to try to get them to pay their taxes. (We’d all been reading extracts from the Paradise Papers apart from one woman who thought we’d all benefit from the so-called “trickle down effect” - John declared that what really happened was a “vacuum up” effect!)
