The Chronophage

I was almost tempted not to explain this one and leave it to your imagination (or nightmares) but I thought that would be mean, it is actually part of a clock, with this giant (about 3 feet long) grasshopper type beasty "eating" time. You can read all about it on the National Museum of Scotland's website.

The museum is always worth a visit with views of the city from the roof terrace and hundreds (if not thousands) of objects on show, there is always something interesting to see and photograph and it's free!
