From Small Acorns...
At Amersham Meeting House, for Meeting for Worship in the morning followed by shared lunch and then two really inspiring talks in the afternoon. Tim Gee, from Quaker Peace and Social Witness, told us about the Sanctuary Everywhere movement, helping to build a culture of welcome for refugees and asylum seekers. Stephanie Rybak, from Wycombe Refugee Partnership, gave us a vivid example of how small actions can lead to big changes, telling us about building a partnership that has provided accommodation and support for refugee families who have arrived in High Wycombe. Two stories of real hope and encouragement in these difficult times.
