Mono Monday . . . A Frog's Eye View

This is the high tide covering the road at the end of Monaco Point.  I drove through on dry road but when I had parked and walked back the water was lapping across.  It  was a bigger tide today and the wind was whipping up the water.  No frogs seen.  I was able to leave the point using another road and avoid the salt water.  Marlieske thank  you for reminding me about getting down low with the camera.
With the forester out finishing I was having a day to myself and went to Nelson to the movies to see No Ordinary Shelia.  A New Zealand doco movie about the extraordinary life of Shelia Natusch.  She was born in 1926 and grew up on Stewart Island.  She went on to become an illustrator and writer about our wild life.  Her enjoyment in the natural world shone through and her optimism about life.  The world was a different place for a woman born in her time.
P.S my entry yesterday didn't make any sense without the extra pic of the moon.  I have tried twice to get it to load but it just won't.
