Parish Church
Today we helped Dan move some more of his stuff out to his new house (which now looks lovely after he and Lotty have decorated it from top to bottom). Maybe he will have move out next week, again. The last time he moved to Australia, this time I can cope with it better as he will be 15 minutes down the road.
We also took advantage of the nice weather and had a walk in the park next to his new house, along with Lotty's mom and dad, and stopped for coffee and lunch in the old fashioned park cafe.
On the way home late afternoon the sun was sparkling. I went to the end of our road and took this autumnal shot of our parish church. It is some distance from the centre of the village, which is thought to be because it is next to Duffield Bridge, which was used by pilgrims and other travellers. The church is Grade I listed and dates from the 14th century, but was restored in 1847. Alongside it, hidden by the trees is the R Derwent and the main Sheffield to London railway line (which I will be using in the morning)
