Fledgling Hedge
We went for a walk this afternoon with the boys, close to Chard, and came across this hedge that someone has just started to lay. We shall have to re-visit in a few weeks to see what the finished result is like.
Earlier this afternoon we dropped in to the nursery at Forde Abbey, where they were having a plant sale as today is the last day that their nursery is open this season. We bought some lovely plants at great prices (always satisfying that). One was a large ornamental grass which originated in New Zealand. The label told us all about it, and finished "Very classy. Not for swingers." I then proceeded to have a very funny conversation with the gentleman who was serving, and also a couple of customers. I'd forgotten all about the old "Pampas Grass denoted a Swinger's House" fable - or was it fact???
