A View From The Bottom Of The Hill

I live at the highest point in the neighborhood, so the only way out is down. I've been tempted many times to just stop my car at the bottom of the hill as I round the corner and shoot, but haven't until today.

It was about five o'clock and the light on the mountains seemed perfect. I pulled off onto the next side road and walked back with my tripod. I set it up smack in the middle of the road. Fortunately, there were no cars chasing me down from behind.

The light kept changing and that made my three minutes of hindering traffic interesting. I finally settled on this wide shot to give you a sense of the area in which I live.

I really need to start multi-tasking better in the evening. I have oodles of preparation for a meeting I have to Chair in the morning and it's already time for bed. Stay up late or get up early? UGH!
