What? is this?

I have always lived in the country, near the woods, farms, in the middle of hundreds of acres.   This is the first time, in my life (68yrs) that I have lived in a residential area where there are fire hydrants every wheres for the fire dept in the event of a fire.  For the first time I am on city water (chlorinated) and city sewage.  I have always had a well and septic systtem.    I am truly, in a new phase of my life and am doing a lot of firsts!
