Looking towards the ruins of Tantallon Castle from Seacliff beach near North Berwick.  Since it was built in the mid 14th century it was besieged several times and also visited by Mary Queen of Scots in November 1566 but greatly damaged by Cromwell’s troops in 1650.
Across the field the extra shows the massive 12 foot thick curtain wall of the castle still intact and in the distance is Bass Rock and its lighthouse.
