Rain Shelter
On the basis that one should make the most of the fact that it's the holidays, I picked Kiwilizzie up and we went out to the Red Barn for a leisurely brunch. It had been raining all night and through the morning so there was nothing pressing that I should have been doing instead (like hang out washing, wash cars, tidy the garden, mow lawns).
I was going to save my blip until this evening when my grandson should be here, but when we got to the cafe Tony the Peacock was making the most of the limited shelter offered by the beech trees - I guess he appreciates that the gate is high enough that he doesn't have to hold his tail up. When his tail is closed like this, and not in sunlight, it really makes the reds, browns and oranges noticeable. This is SOOC so any colour seen in him is genuine - all I have done is crop it slightly.
Definitely better seen large to appreciate the magnificence of his feathers.
