Truro

We had a quick trip into Cornwall yesterday returning today as It was the youngest grand daughters 14th birthday -where has that time gone.

Her sister was on a school trip to Cornwall College in Redruth for creative writing so Rona had the choice of where she went.

Truro it was. As we were buying our ticket for the park & Ride her brother and his partner turned up. Now theres a co-incidence.  So we spent the morning together, breakfast in Tiffanys M&S then hit the town. We were hoping to go into the Cathedral but there a graduation in process. As Rona began to feel very unwell we headed for home leaving the other two to spend even more money.  IT is a really interesting little town with lots of small cobbled streets and small stores. Came across one called rare bits. It was full of bits and pieces and very interesting. Met a lady there who was taking photographs of various places for a her scout group to do a 'Treasure hunt' in a couple of weeks. sounded interesting. She then told me a story about the Cathedral. The main aisle is slightly curved so they didnt have to knock down any buildings when it was built. Also the large stained glass window at the front has a rogue blue piece of glass. This was donated from a front door by someone because a chorister broke the window with his fathers gun post WW2. Needless to say the charter was kicked out of the choir and the choristers school.

We headed into St Austel for coffee and material from my lovely daughters store. She is really unwell at the moment and is supposed to rest!!!!! She has bells palsy which is really evident by mid afternoon. Her eye lid swells and she is exhausted. Now taking iron and vitamin supplements
