Change of season

It rained last night! The first significant rain there's been since we arrived six weeks ago. The clouds were drifting away this morning, but the temperature had dropped dramatically, and it certainly wasn't a beach day. We stayed at home most of the day; in the early evening we hopelessly miscalculated the hour of sunset and the opening hours of the nature reserve in Motril, so our visit there was a waste of time. We drove back to Almuñecar and caught the last gasp of sunset over the sea before justifying our outing by having a drink in one of the two or three chiringuitos that are still open. The town has got dramatically quieter since the clocks changed; many places closed and few people in the streets.
