Friday at last!

It's been a long week of work and thankfully this morning was both productive and enjoyable.

I went to Waverley to catch the train to London to meet Tim to find that the train was delayed and the previous London train was cancelled making my late train pretty full from Edinburgh. Regular users of this service know that it fills up as one progresses southwards - many get on at Newcastle and by York it's full. This time it was standing room only from Darlington - that's a long time to stand. We got to King's Cross nearly an hour late and we were all mightily relieved!

Tim was waiting for me (so lovely) and we wandered by the river before going home. He had made a delicious minestrone soup and it was perfect. I'm glad to be here.
