Tauhou, silvereye, waxeye,
The harakeke/flax at the front of the house is in full flower. We are being entertained by the tauhou, the tui and bees. They are all getting smothered in pollen. I have cropped this hard but the extra shows what we see with the naked eye. They rarely sit still and you have to jiggle around trying to get them in between the flax leaves and flower stalks which are a real jungle.
I thought this one wasn't too bad for seeing through double glazing.
It has been hot and humid today. We went to a nieces for a belated birthday afternoon tea. She got stuck in Wellington and for a change it wasn't the wind there that held them up but the low cloud over Nelson.
