Nao Victoria y El Galeon
A very dull and overcast day, with no sunshine!
Went to the Doctors this lunchtime for my flu jab and also received the one for pneumonia as well! A sure sign of aging I think!!
Anyway this afternoon I went to see the two replica Spanish Galleons in the Marina. They are here until next week.
The main picture is of the Nao Victoria, a replica of the ship which sailed around the World. The origianl left Seville in 1519 accompanied by four other Naos or Ships; Santiago, San Antonio, Trinidad and Concepcion. Only Nao Victoria returned to Seville in 1522 after circumnavigating the globe for the first time.
In extras you can see two Galleons - the smaller being the Victoria and the larger El Galeon, a generic Spanish Galleon of the 17th Century which was built in 2009/10.
Other extras include some shots of the iside of El Galeon. Great to be able to go aboard and look around.
Hope you all have a good weekend.
