Teasing
We decided yesterday that we needed a walk and set aside today for it. However, Mr Flum was 'on standby' as assistant for some furniture removing, consequently our destination was necessarily close to home.
Straiton Pond is not too far so we took a zigzag route through the adjoining field over obvious demolition debris, back by the pond to admire the swans and four cygnets (extra) back along the main track then right to an area which serves as access to the pylon line, all within sight and sound of the busy Edinburgh by-pass.
This last was prolific with Teasels, also dead stems of Giant Hogweed which, with the coloured leaves, made a pretty autumnal scene.
