coon in the 'well

It was still dark this morning when I let Laney out for her morning wee. Unfortunately, she spotted a raccoon in the yard and chased it into our window well. 
After our proper walk, I checked back on the raccoon thinking it would have made its escape, but here it was. Thinking it might be stuck, I put an old rolled up rug in the window well for the coon to climb out on. Checking on it later, I found it fast asleep!
So as as last resort, I opened the window a crack and squirted it with water until it climbed out on its own. Then it sauntered sleepily away looking for another place to sleep.
