Red Rock Canyon

Joe and I went up to Red Rock Canyon for the day instead of browsing along the Strip.  We have been down to the strip enough times to opt out.  The canyon was beautiful.  the only bad thing was the lighting by the time you get to the other side.       We didn't see any wild life at all but it was cool enough to do a few short trails.

  The extra is the place where the Indians would meet up with other tribes for the roasting of the Agave plants and celebrations .   what looks like a shallow pit is where the roasting took place.
