Trial run

Ive had this image in mind for a few days now and thought I might just be lucky tonight. My journey home coincides with sunset just now and as I was driving to this spot the sun was peeking under clouds and was golden orange.  Glorious it was!

Parked up and started my walk to the location.  Plenty of high cloud above. Sadly rather grey looking.  As i got to my spot the title of tonights blip came to mind.  Trial run.  There was no lovely sunset before me just cloud.  Despite this I thought I would just grab something as I was there. I had walked a reasonable way to get here so I thought why not.  Then, almost imperceptible to the eye there was a little colour in the sky, a little reddening was spreading under the cloud.  I took this image, then, the colour had gone!  This was the best the sky had to offer me tonight.  Some might say (hopefully) that its still not a bad image, but, I must confess I might of helped it along a little in Lightroom.  

Late night at work for LandscapeGiirl.  Fish pie in the oven and best dash to make sure veg is ok.  She will be here any moment :-)
