Surprise

As I wandered along Pla de Martis my eye was caught by a yellow flash in the grass beside the road. Curiosity revealed this clump of crocuses desparately seeking sun.

Not used to seeing crocus on 23rd September, for me they are a spring flower, but nevertheless they were welcome and very cheery
