Holyrood Palace

Had a super meal last evening, and then went up the Royal Mile and watched the Halloween parade, lots of the undead, fire, and lots of costumes.   It was great fun.  Our overnight stay in the Mercure Hotel just across from the Scott Monument was really good, very comfortable.

This morning we first of all went to the Scottish Academy to view some pictures and then went up Calton Hill.  I took my blip from the top.  Then we went to the Portrait Gallery, I love this building, and I have put on an extra from there.  We also visited the Georgian House in Charlotte Square, which was very interesting.  Had a nice meal before heading home on the coach.  Tired but happy!
