Rex Whistler at Plas Newydd

Nice early start today, pleasant drive across to Anglesey. Spent a delightful few hours at Plas Newydd. (National Trust). The grounds and walk along The Menai Strait were fabulous, it certainly helped that the weather was very pleasant. The house especially the art were even better. Topped by the Rex Whistler works. What an amazing talented man, such a shame his life was cut so short. A montage of his drawings at the age of 9/10 are beyond belief. The blip fails to do justice to his main masterpiece, but trust me its worth the trip just to see this. Extra is of Mrs D checking out the next colours for our home décor. Truly great day out...by the way the Squash soup needs more salt.
