Folk Art

Went to L&J's to stay the night. Sadly coinciding with the funeral of their lovely neighbour, Arnold. Went to see his widow this morning for a chat, then later to the country house at Compton Verney. Beautiful grounds and the house itself now a gallery. I loved the folk art collection (shop signs, primitive paintings of prize pigs, etc) but the highlight was a new exhibition of work from Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris' book "The Lost Words". Truly glorious, seek it out!
