2017 Tuesday -- Halloween

This is Desiree, our granddaughter, and her two children, Tristan and Jade. They are getting ready to head out to enjoy the Trick or Treat fun of this day.

Desiree lives in Missouri with her husband Justin. She is currently here in SoCal, actually in Norco, staying at her other grandma's house since early August because she is in a legal custody battle to have Tristan permanently with her again. For the past few years Tristan has been living with the former girlfriend of Tristan's dad and Desiree could not get proof of this to win the battle in court. Then the girlfriend, Nichol, filed for guardianship and that opened the door wide for Desiree to gain custody. Of course, Nick, Tristan's deadbeat dad, is not at all happy that the court has award Desiree custody. Desiree has had to stay in California to allow Nick several months of visitation on weekends.

Because initially Nichol took Tristan into hiding and would not release him to Desiree, the visitations with Nick have been supervised and they have happened at Desiree's grandma's house. The court has stated that Nichol cannot visit and must stay away from Tristan because she was the one who would not release him. What a mess.
