A climb for a view

Today we escaped the crowds and, instead of climbing the steps to the top of the Duomo, we crossed the river and walked in places that no tourist guide ever reaches. Climbing steeply at times and sometimes mounting many, many steps, we eventually reached a most beautiful church high above the city. The views were amazing.

So here is a view of Florence.

Tomorrow we fly home and back to reality. Ice cream will never be the same again!
