Halloween

Joined in the festivities today - decorated the front door to welcome the trick or treaters - our grandson joined in, and the local Starbucks had staff dressed for the occasion too [extra]. :)

Yesterday, I received a telephone call from the reablement team supporting AJ informing me that the support would end with the last call on Friday (!not much notice), and that AJ would have to organise care to start from Saturday morning! Reeling from the shock and angry at the short notice, (both AJ and myself), this morning I rang around some care agencies. Managed to secure a local care agency, available to start on Saturday. However, later in the morning, the agency rang to say they had a request from the Local Authority to arranged a package of care from Saturday - confused.com!!! Even a phone call later in the day with AJ's local review team did not shed any light on the confusion. The main thing is that care will continue for as long as she needs, who/how pays for it is still to be defined! .........
