at Barneys

I was really pleased when Subway closed down, it was a terrible place. I was even more pleased when they took down their signage and the old Barneys was revealed.

Barneys was a Cambridge icon, purveyors of polyester tat for the fashion unconscious.

Hendstock MC Chris E was in a band called the Desmonds. They wrote songs about important things like owning a GTI, working jolly hard on the farm, meeting your love outside Barneys and the perils of finding a German in the shower.

So this brings back memories.

They were so good they were on Desert Island disks. Whizz to 19:10 and listen to the intro ;)
