Away day

We had an offsite away day today. A chance to meet colleagues from other departments and relax and enjoy. We were about 35 minutes down the coast from work on the beach. Nice, and an abundance of excellent food.

We finished early and were home by about 5. A rare treat. It was a little difficult to get off the sofa to go out later, but who could turn down a glass of wine at the Embassy? It's been seven weeks alcohol free in this dry country as I've worked each of our two allocated nights a week for the last 7 weeks. Hopefully next term I'll have one night free to go.

Shared a bottle of sparkling with a friend and will go again this Thursday.
